Kwey,

Chi-Miigwetch everyone for signing this petition and for reading the updates. It is appreciated if you continued to post and circulate this petition. It is close to 5,000 signatures. Here is the link: https://www.change.org/p/government-of-canada-maryam-monsef-minister-of-women-and-gender-equality-please-stand-up-for-indigenous-women

Last week the DisAbility Women’s Network (DAWN) publishes a blog I wrote and that DAWN commissioned. This blog is probably the most important thing I have writing in a while. Here is the link: https://www.dawncanada.net/news/idam-lynn-25-11-2020/

DAWN is taking concrete actions this month to highlight Disability Awareness Month publishing many blogs and items as a way to bring more attention to the issue of Indigenous women and girls with disabilities. Here is another blog in a series of four. I really like this blog because it opens up space for the new genre of writing (A warning though as this writing may upset the grammar, spelling, and sentence structure cops.): https://www.dawncanada.net/news/melanieidam-13-11-2020/

Additional blogs and items of interest can be found here: https://www.dawncanada.net/type_news/dawn-rafh-canada-in-the-media/

Another step forward in my effort to raise awareness about Indigenous women and girls with disabilities as bigger targets of sexual violence was on November 19th when Senator Marilou McPhedran asked a question, that I formulated in the Senate Chamber, of the government representative. Here is a link where you can listen to this question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GzD9F_aHUk&feature=youtu.be&ab_channel=LynnGehl

Lastly, here again is my open letter to Minister’s Monsef, Qualtrough, Miller:
